Bombs and Schools

OMGosh yes, bombs and schools, you heard right..

I was sitting here after getting kids to school, reveling in the fact I was all alone, (I had one kid home sick yesterday with a headache). Sitting back, reading on the net, drinking my coffee, when someone bursts in through my garage door, the dog starts barking, so I knew I had to look. I see my son running in the house out of breath, carrying his huge book bag, with his best friend in tow behind him.

I was like wth are you doing home, get to school !

Then he told me "the school got a bomb threat. ". he added "I guess high school gets a lot of them."

I was kind of frantic, I don't remember any last year? I was watching the news, nothing, surfing the net, even at the school sites, nothing, called the sound board, nothing , I even called the school and just got the closed message.. So at least I knew it was closed..

Now to worry about the one in middle school... After doing all the same things for him, I did finally get a hold of them, and found out indeed they do have a plan for evacuation. They send everyone to Lutheran trinity church, close to downtown.

They hung up now, and I forgot to ask how would I know...
